OVERVIEW

ADVIK, is an Indian company headquartered in Pune. ADVIK setup in the year 2000 has grown to presently have 8 manufacuting plants in India, 1 in Indonesia and 1 in Vietnam. There are 2 business units within the company, focusing exclusively on 2 Wheelers and 4 Wheelers. The company is run by a Board of Management called the Apex committee who is responsible for key decisionmaking for the overall business of both the business units.

MR. ADITYA BHARTIA

Founder and Managing Director

Mr. Aditya Bhartia is the Founder and Managing Director of Advik, a leading global manufacturer of automotive components for original equipment manufacturers. 

In this role, Aditya leads the overall strategic direction and management of the company.   

Aditya founded Advik in 2000 after completing his education, when he identified a business opportunity for developing oil pumps in the 2 – wheeler segment as it transitioned from 2-stroke to 4-stroke engines. 

 Aditya’s focus on embedding a culture of innovation anchored in customer centricity has enabled the company to remain ahead of the curve and consolidated its position as the preferred supplier to leading global Auto OEMs. 

 In 2009, Aditya announced Advik’s foray into the 4-wheeler segment by entering into a technical collaboration with Trochocentric® GmbH for Design, Development and manufacture of Oil Pumps for the 4-wheeler industry.

Over the last two decades, Advik has grown from one production facility manufacturing Tensioners and Oil Pump for the domestic market to now 10 plants supplying an extensive range of automotive components in the domestic and overseas market of 2W, 3W, PV, CV, Tractor & Off-Highway & stationary engines space.

 With an employee base of 4000 people across three countries, Advik today is a world leader in the manufacturing of: 

  • Pumps (Oil Pump, Water Pump, Vacuum Pump)
  • Brake System (Hydraulic Disc Breaking System and Mechanical Drum Breaking System)
  • Solenoid & Electric Motor; Valves and Actuators (New Product Vertical)
  • Tensioners 
  • Drum Gear Shifters and 

In early 2021, Aditya led the acquisition of Hanon Bangalore Operations Pvt. Ltd. (Hanon Bangalore), from Hanon Systems, South Korea (KS: 018880) to accelerate Advik global manufacturing and R&D expertise in the powertrain systems market. This acquisition has enabled Advik to deliver a comprehensive portfolio for pumps which includes oil pumps, water pumps, and vacuum pumps for global vehicle manufacturers. 

Besides his role at Advik, Aditya is active in a wide range of community and industry associations.

MR. ADITYA BHARTIA

MR. PREM PRAKASH GAJPAL

Director Operations

Prem Prakash Gajpal is the Director for Operations at Advik.

In this role, he is responsible for all areas of business operations including optimizing plant output, assessing and implementing improved processes & new technologies. He is also responsible for achieving quality & project management benchmarks to execute the company vision. He also oversees the key functions of strategic planning and new product development. 

Gajpal joined Advik in 2014 and brings more than three decades of experience in setting up greenfield projects and spearheading project management from conceptualisation, strategic planning to the complete operation of the plant. He also has a successful track record of establishing Integrated Quality Management Systems for new products and has achieved quality improvements to the tune of 10 fold within 3 years. Before his role in Advik, Gajpal was serving as Business Unit Head at Sona Koyo Steering Systems, where he was responsible for the operational management of two key plants. 

Gajpal has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras and an MBA in Operation Management. He is certified Visionary Leader for Manufacturing (VLFM) trained under breakthrough Guru Prof Shoji Shiba.  He is also a professional coach certified by Grow More Coach, an International Coach Certification approved by ICF (International Coach Federation, USA). He has significant expertise in manufacturing practices including TQM, TPM, Toyota Production System (TPS), Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Lean Manufacturing.

MR. AMOL DAGWADE

Chief Financial Officer

Amol Dagwade is the Chief Financial Officer of Advik.

Amol is responsible for overseeing the strategic financial planning, accounting and taxation functions for the company. Since joining Advik, Amol has held several financial advisory  positions with increasing responsibility including Fund Management, Corporate Accounting, Management advisory, Financial analysis & planning, including leading Legal, HR and IT.

Amol first joined ADVIK in 2002 as Deputy General manager in charge of heading the finance and IT wing of the company for 5 years, during which time he successfully lead the SAP ECC 6.0 Implementation suite. 

Prior to Advik, Amol was leading practice of fund raising, setting MNC startup in India and risk advisory.

Amol is a qualified Chartered Accountant certified by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (India) and has built expertise in raising funds through Banks, Private equities, venture capital.

A keen observer of life, Amol loves numbers and volunteers as a motivational speaker in his free time.

MR. RAKESH YADAV

CEO - Business Unit I

Rakesh Yadav is the Chief Executive Officer (BUI) at Advik. He is responsible for overseeing the 2-wheeler business vertical that includes setting domestic & export business strategy, growing market share in new geographies/new products, supporting the company’s transition from ICE to EV, and managing strategic customer relationships to drive profitable growth in line with the vision outlined for the company. 

Rakesh is a transformative leader with broad global experience of over 30+ years of driving profitable revenue growth, development of new markets like ASEAN, fostering synergy between people, processes, and strategies to deliver exceptional business performance. 

He joined Advik first in 2009 as General Manager – Marketing & Business Development, promoted as Sr. Vice President in 2012 through 2014, and then in 2015 as President Director & ASEAN Business Head based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was instrumental in developing the business in ASEAN Region and acquiring key customer accounts. In 2020 he was appointed as CEO – Business Unit I.

Prior to his role at Advik, Rakesh was serving as the vice-president for OEM sales at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires where he was leading the development of OE Business for Off-Highway Tires in the European Market. Rakesh began his career as a Regional Manager with Minda Industries, spanning multiple roles with increasing seniority in sales, marketing, and new business development. 

Rakesh has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Export & Import Management from Tasmac School of Business Private Limited.

MR. MANEESH SATARKAR

CEO - Business Unit II

Maneesh is the Chief Executive Officer of Advik. In this position, Maneesh oversees the Global business including optimal resource utilization, management of key client accounts and development of high potential teams. 

Maneesh brings more than 28 years of progressive, global experience in the field, specializing in business turn-around and strategy with a key focus on top & bottom-line profitability. 

 Maneesh joined Advik in 2018 and initially served as the Vice President for Marketing and Business Development. In this role, he was responsible for driving global expansion plans by breaking into new markets and augmenting the business with mergers and acquisitions.  

In 2020, he was promoted as CEO – Business Unit II.  

Prior to his role in Advik, Maneesh was heading Regional Sales for Elringklinger Automotive Components India Pvt. Ltd., where he built deep expertise in business development, project  and key account management for Commercial Vehicles, Passenger Vehicles, Off-Highway & Tier -I segments. Formerly, he also served as the General Manager at Yash Birla Group and as Deputy manager of marketing at Varroc Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

Maneesh graduated from Government Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his MBA from the National Institute of Banking Management and subsequently a Management Program from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
